Students in action!

At TasTAFE, our courses are designed to give you the opportunity to participate in hands-on, practical learning activities that will assist you to gain the skills and experience you’ll need for your future career.

Some qualifications offer the opportunity to deliver services direct to the community or to individual clients or customers, and provide invaluable industry experience and capability which is valued by prospective employers and industry alike.

As a student, you’ll have the opportunity to put your learning into practice by delivering services to the public in professional settings like our Drysdale restaurants, Hair and Beauty salons or Student TrainICT Help Desk. In other learning areas, you might have the chance to work on vehicles in our Automotive workshops that might be donated to community members or community programs in need, or you might get involved in planning a community fundraising event in one of our Community Services qualifications on behalf of a community organisation in your region.

The real-life experience and skills that you’ll develop in these professional environments not only helps to prepare you for employment, but will give you the confidence to excel in your chosen field.

If you are a community member looking for a top-quality meal or a hair and beauty treatment… help us to help support tomorrow's professionals and become a customer today!
