TasTAFE’s Hair and Beauty qualifications prepare students for the hair and beauty workforce by working closely with industry and providing genuine and practical training opportunities in professional salon settings.
Working in the Hair and Beauty industry is a popular and dynamic career choice for many students, and while you might not be ready to join the entourage of the rich and famous just yet, to help you learn, you need to put your classroom skills and techniques into practice!
As a Hair and Beauty student, you will need a number of clients throughout the year for hair cutting, perming, colouring, chemical reformation and treatments at the TasTAFE training salons, as well as clients who are available for a range of beauty treatments.

Students are fully supervised by our expert team of teaching staff and only use quality products for all hairdressing and beauty services, but please be mindful that our students will take longer than a fully qualified professional as they receive guidance and support from their teacher throughout the appointment.
