TasTAFE recognises how important a stable, supportive living environment is for international learners. To help you settle into life in Australia, TasTAFE has partnered with the Australian Homestay Network (AHN) to offer homestay accommodation as an option for learners who would like to live with a local host family.
The Australian Homestay Network provides safe, affordable and comfortable accommodation for international students studying in Australia.
Living with a welcoming host family can help you settle in more quickly and become familiar with Australian culture, climate and everyday life. A range of flexible homestay packages are available, which may include meals, utilities and internet access. Students also benefit from 24/7 support, local orientation, and homestay insurance.
AHN maintains high homestay standards, including host interviews, home inspections and background checks. A preference-based matching system is used to connect students with a host family that best suits their needs and lifestyle.
