Do you enjoy working with technology and solving problems? Turn your interest into a career and equip yourself with the foundation skills and knowledge needed in the ICT industry. The Certificate III in Information Technology focuses on key areas of computer networking, server operations, security, programming, web development and hardware/software support.
In this course, you’ll gain transferrable skills and knowledge across three core areas:
- Technical Support
- Scan and remove malicious software
- Troubleshoot and repair ICT equipment
- Maintain and repair computer hardware and software
- Create and maintain effective client communicational skills, and
- Effectively document work using our live ICT ticketing system.
- Networking and Server Operations
- Create, manage and troubleshoot networks
- Install and configure desktop and server operating systems
- Install, configure and secure a small office or home office network
- Use virtualisation technology to create functional networks of virtual computers, and
- Securely manage and protect workplace information.
- Programming and Web Development
- Apply programming techniques using Python
- Create simple programs and applications
- Troubleshoot errors in code, and
- Develop webpages using HTML and CSS.
