This week at our Alanvale Campus the Automotive Team received a donation of a truck by construction company Fulton Hogan.

Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology apprentices will gain valuable new skills diagnosing, testing and repairing when working on the 2010 Freightliner tandem axle 10 yard truck.

The truck has a C15 Caterpillar electronic-controlled engine, which provides increased electronic engine management diagnostic technology available at Alanvale Campus for training purposes

On Wednesday 8 March, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Michael Ferguson, TasTAFE Director Education – Operations Brendan Holland, apprentice Kari Reid, Fulton Hogan SEQ Nic Russell, Fulton Hogan State Manager Rob Nucifora and Fulton Hogan Resources Manager Cameron Kay (all pictured) gathered to officially hand over the keys from Fulton Hogan to TasTAFE.

As TasTAFE continues to advance its 10-year strategic plan, Reimagining TasTAFE, partnerships such as this will be crucial for TasTAFE to become a leading education and training provider.
