AMEP Volunteer Tutor Training Program

Are you interested in helping migrants learn English? Do you have some spare time on weekdays?

You may be interested in our Volunteer Tutor Training Program.  Find out more about the program below. If you have a genuine interest in participating, please email Volunteer Tutor Scheme Administrator, Hiroko, at TasTAFE.Home.Tutor.ELS@tastafe.tas.edu.au for more information.

TasTAFE is contracted by the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) to train volunteer tutors who then work one-on-one with migrants in Hobart to help them learn English.

Our Volunteer Tutor Training short course provides participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to work one-on-one with students. It is a great way to help and give back to the community. Those people who become volunteer tutors consistently tell us what a rewarding experience it is for both them and the people they tutor.

The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) is funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs. TasTAFE is an AMEP service provider in Southern Tasmania.
