Gain knowledge of work health and safety (WHS) law to manage risks for a compliant, healthy and safe workplace.

WHS law and risk management are fundamental to ensure a healthy and safe workplace. This cluster is for people who currently work in WHS or are seeking a career in WHS.

You will learn how to assist with establishing and maintaining compliance with WHS laws to meet the duties, rights and obligations of your organisation, its officers, workers and others.

You will contribute to WHS risk management to identify hazards and control risks to prevent physical and psychological harm.

The cluster will focus on applying the WHS Act, WHS Regulations, codes of practice and guides to identify and address non-compliances and recommend improvements. The units of competency in this cluster are core units from BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
