Gain the essential knowledge of work health and safety (WHS) law to manage risks for a compliant, healthy and safe workplace.

Work health and safety (WHS) law and risk management are fundamental to ensure safe and healthy work for all. This cluster is for people who currently work in WHS or are seeking a career in WHS.

In this cluster, you will learn how to assist with establishing and maintaining compliance with WHS laws to meet the duties, rights and obligations of your organisation, its officers, workers and others.

You will contribute to WHS risk management to identify hazards and control risks to prevent physical and psychological harm.

The course will focus on applying the WHS Act and Regulations, codes of practice, standards and guides to identify and address non-compliances and recommend improvements. The units of competency in this cluster are core units from the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and if successfully completed, provide credit towards the full qualification.
