Build on your Engineering drafting skills to become a Civil Engineering design technician.
This course builds on the skills and knowledge gained in the Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting to train students to become civil engineering design technicians.
During the course you will work on real world projects that reflect the role of a civil engineering design technician in industry. These projects are supported with project management units to learn best practice techniques that you can later apply in industry. The course will build your skills and knowledge to enable you to progress in your career path towards taking on increasingly complex project roles.
The course also covers structural engineering analysis methodologies to underpin your understanding of the structural principles underlining the projects you will be designing and documenting.
The course also covers 3D Building Design modelling and collaborative BIM workflows to prepare you to work in a collaborative team environment, communicating using 3D models.
The Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting is an entry requirement to begin this course.
