Thinking About a Career Change?

Interested in developing practical skills while exploring a career in construction? The Transition into Trades Program is a hands-on, non-accredited introductory program designed for people looking to gain confidence, develop practical skills, and explore opportunities within the construction industry.

Over seven weeks, you'll be introduced to a variety of trade areas while learning essential workplace skills and using industry-standard tools in a supportive training environment.

What You'll Learn

During the program you'll gain experience in:
  • Safe use of a variety of power tools
  • Familiarisation with a wide range of hand tools used across different trades
  • Basic domestic construction tasks
  • Sharpening and maintaining tools
  • Practical trade skills across a range of disciplines
  • Working safely in a construction environment
