The Transition into Trades Program is a hands-on, non-accredited introductory program designed for people looking to gain confidence, develop practical skills, and explore opportunities within the construction industry.
Over seven weeks, you'll be introduced to a variety of trade areas while learning essential workplace skills and using industry-standard tools in a supportive training environment.
What You'll Learn
During the program you'll gain experience in:- Safe use of a variety of power tools
- Familiarisation with a wide range of hand tools used across different trades
- Basic domestic construction tasks
- Sharpening and maintaining tools
- Practical trade skills across a range of disciplines
- Working safely in a construction environment
