Prepare yourself for a career in the Electrotechnology industry by undertaking the national Readiness Assessment.

If you are interested in beginning a career in Electrotechnology, this nationally recognised Readiness Assessment will help you find out if you have what it takes to become an Electrical Apprentice.

In this short course, you’ll be guided through the Readiness Assessment (RA) – a national aptitude test which is specific to the Electrical industry and designed to assess the potential of aspiring electrical apprentices.

The RA covers the fifteen areas of numeracy and literacy that you’ll need to have to be successful in an Electrical Apprenticeship. To meet these requirements, you will need to demonstrate a certain level of language, literacy and numeracy skills.

At the conclusion of the aptitude test, you’ll receive your results. Your results will also highlight any potential areas for improvement, along with remedial support resources you can look at to further improve your literacy and numeracy skills.

Successful completion of this short course will ensure that you are equipped with the literacy and numeracy skills you need to seek an Electrical Apprenticeship, and enable you to promote yourself to prospective employers within the Electrical industry.

Note– if you enrol in UEE22120 Certificate II in Sustainable Energy (Career Start), you will be able to undertake the Readiness Assessment at no additional cost.
