TasTAFE Graduation Ceremonies in Devonport, Hobart and Launceston
Published on: 24 Sep 2025
Our graduates celebrate their achievements at the TasTAFE Graduation Ceremony in Devonport.
TasTAFE was proud to host Graduation Ceremonies in Devonport on 2 September, Hobart on 11 September, and Launceston on 18 September – acknowledging our graduating learners from late 2024 and first half of 2025.
TasTAFE Interim CEO, Will McShane welcomed our September 2025 graduates and their families to the Hobart event.
“Your achievements are the result of your effort, resilience, and dedication to your studies, and I hope you feel as proud as we are, as we mark this milestone in your learning journey together,” Will said.
Graduate Annette Edwards completed her Diploma of Nursing in July this year. She and her family attended the Devonport ceremony. Annette is currently working with Anglicare in Launceston as a personal support worker; and with Meercroft Care in Devonport as a carer.
“It was a really enjoyable, feel-good night – the highlight of actually finishing, which is such an achievement. The majority of us have families and we’re working as well, so it’s really hard work! So, to have that recognition and celebrate with your families, your classmates, your teachers – it just felt great.” Annette said.
After the Hobart ceremony, TasTAFE Certificate II in Automotive Vocational Preparation graduate Binod Shrestha was upbeat.
“It was exciting! Definitely a big achievement. We celebrated with our families and our teachers, everyone – all the happy faces, with their own achievements. It was great,” Binod said.
Since finishing his qualification, Binod has become Tasmania’s first franchisee for Jim’s Mobile Tyres: read more about Binod’s success story.
In the north, graduate Heather Tomkinson took her husband along to the Launceston ceremony. Heather completed her Certificate III in Tourism this year and recently started working with RACT as a travel advisor.
“It’s really great that TasTAFE do this – acknowledging our achievements,” Heather said. “It was lovely to see the people from my course who came along … to reconnect with them and see what they've been up to.”
Congratulations to all our September 2025 graduates – welcome to the TasTAFE alumni family!
We’ll look forward to following your successes in the future, and to welcoming you back to TasTAFE should you choose to continue your learning journey.
