  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident, an eligible VISA holder, and

Launch Your Hospitality Career with Housekeeping Essentials

If you enjoy being active, working on the move, and want a career offering flexibility and globally transferable skills, the Housekeeping Essentials short course could be your perfect starting point.

This introductory program combines hands-on practical training with essential theoretical knowledge, equipping you with the foundational skills required to be job-ready for a role in housekeeping.

Throughout the course, you will learn to:

  • Prepare rooms and deliver high-quality housekeeping services
  • Clean premises and maintain industry cleaning equipment
  • Apply hygienic practices specific to the hospitality industry
  • Follow safe work practices in a tourism and hospitality setting

Upon successful completion, you will receive a Statement of Attainment , along with the skills and confidence needed to begin your career in Tasmania’s thriving Tourism and Hospitality sector—as a Room Attendant, Housekeeper, or similar role across various hospitality establishments.
