If you like being physically active and on the go, and are looking for a career with flexible hours and skills that are transferable to any destination in the world… then the Drysdale Housekeeping Essentials skill set is just what you’ve been looking for!

This eight-week short course is an introductory hospitality course that offers a combination of practical, hands-on skills and knowledge-based learning, and will provide you with the skills you need to be job-ready for a role in Housekeeping.

In this course, you’ll learn how to prepare rooms and provide housekeeping services to guests, as well as clean premises and equipment, and use hygienic practice for hospitality service. You’ll also learn how to participate in safe work practices in the tourism and hospitality context.

On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment and the skills you need to join Tasmania’s growing Tourism and Hospitality industry as a Room Attendant or Housekeeper across a wide range of hospitality businesses. You might also be interested in taking the next step in your tourism and hospitality career, and undertaking further study with SIT30622 – Certificate III in Hospitality.
