To be eligible for a Fee-Free place you must be:
- a resident of Tasmania or working in Tasmania
- an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident, an eligible VISA holder, and
- of working age

This introductory program combines hands-on practical training with essential theoretical knowledge, equipping you with the foundational skills required to be job-ready for a role in housekeeping.
Throughout the course, you will learn to:
- Prepare rooms and deliver high-quality housekeeping services
- Clean premises and maintain industry cleaning equipment
- Apply hygienic practices specific to the hospitality industry
- Follow safe work practices in a tourism and hospitality setting
Upon successful completion, you will receive a Statement of Attainment , along with the skills and confidence needed to begin your career in Tasmania’s thriving Tourism and Hospitality sector—as a Room Attendant, Housekeeper, or similar role across various hospitality establishments.
