Advance your welding skills to AS1554 GP/SP standards with our specialised training program

This training course is designed for existing tradespeople seeking to upskill, as well as participants interested in completing one or both welding units aligned with AS1554 GP/SP welding codes. Delivered on campus in a simulated environment, the course emphasises hands-on practical tasks in metal trades workshops that replicate industry best practice. While some theory will be covered onsite with qualified instructors, the primary focus is on developing practical welding skills that meet the requirements of the AS1554 welding code.

The course includes 140 total hours, with 120 hours of supervised instruction. It is structured over three weeks on campus, along with an additional 20 hours of off-campus work.
