Learn all you need to know to get your dogging licence.

This nationally recognised course provides you with the core skills and knowledge you need to perform a variety of dogging tasks safely.

Over the course of five days, our experienced teaching team will teach you how to plan and prepare work and undertake thorough inspection of equipment. You’ll learn all about slinging techniques and calculating safe working loads in slings, as well as how to perform load mass and weight calculations.

You will also be equipped with core skills in relation to fibre ropes and knots, load placement, and directing the movement of loads using crane signals.

On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit completed, and be able to apply for National High Risk Work Licence – Dogging (DG) through WorkSafe Tasmania. The licence is valid for five years.

Note– You must be18 years of age and comply with the requirements outlined in the application for high-risk work published by WorkSafe Tasmania and have a satisfactory level of literacy and numeracy.
