Overlooking the River Derwent on the outskirts of Hobart, our Metal Engineering Training Facility at Bender Drive is a specialist facility that delivers industry-relevant training in the Metal Engineering trades.

Purpose-built to meet the training needs of the Metal Fabrication and Fitting and Machining sectors, Bender Drive has an enormous floorplan that boasts multiple welding bays, an extensive suite of metal and mechanical fabrication equipment, and tools for polyethylene plastic welding.

Surrounded by major employers within the Metals industry, and staffed by experienced teachers who come direct from industry, at Bender Drive, you’ll have the opportunity to undertake your training at the heart of one of southern Tasmania’s busy manufacturing communities, and gain the practical skills you need to achieve your career goals.
