TasTAFE Certificate I in Work Education students have learnt about the world of work while raising money for charity.

The students ran a pop-up shop at TasTAFE’s Alanvale Campus as part of a vocational taster program, practising skills such as interacting with customers, handling money, writing receipts and giving change.

The students raised $90 and decided to donate it to the Red Cross where they are involved in a voluntary work placement once a week as part of their course.

The Certificate I in Work Education is a work ready program involving the exploration of jobs and work.
