It’s approaching that time of year when Year 12 leavers are looking forward to the next chapter in their lives.
At TasTAFE we recognise that this is an exciting but possibly daunting time.
To help Year 12 leavers and their parents explore options for post-college life we will be hosting a series of ‘Parent Evenings’ state-wide to help navigate those next important steps.
Studying at TasTAFE is an option seriously worth consideration! Why? Because we focus on applied learning.
This includes hands-on, practical activities such as building or developing products, undertaking work placements in industry or taking on real projects in the community.
Depending on the course of study chosen, we provide the opportunity for students to get real life skills by working in our training restaurants and cafes, hair and beauty salons, student IT helpdesk, or participating or running community events or working on landscaping or gardening projects.
Come to one of our sessions and hear how we work closely with industry, and we’ll also share some interesting facts such as:
The VET sector provides training courses for 9 out of 10 occupations predicted to have the greatest growth over the next five years.
We’ll provide information about:
- Courses on offer
- Career pathways
- Support services
- Industry connections
- Enrolment processes
- INFO WEEK (20 – 24 November)
Sessions will be held from 6pm – 7pm, and kick off with a short 5 minute welcome/presentation followed by the opportunity for Year 12 leavers and their parents to talk with teaching teams.
Ask those questions that will help make informed decisions about your future.
Tea/coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
