CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card)
The law has changed. Are you compliant?
White Card training is compulsory for all construction workers and includes OHS, emergency procedures, risk management and construction hazards. The National Code of Practice for Induction for Construction Work requires that all construction workers undertake training to receive the new national ‘White Card’. TasTAFE will customise training to meet the needs of your business and your industry.
Participants will learn:
- About workplace health and safety.
- About legislation requirements and responsibilities (employer and employee).
- To perform emergency procedures including evacuation procedures and first aid response requirements.
- About basic risk management.
- About physical building and construction hazards.
- About the OHS hierarchy of controls.
Funding assistance is available from the Tasmanian Building & Construction Training Board (TBCITB) for those that qualify under eligibility criteria. For more information visit tbcitb.com.au.
White Card does not require a High Risk Licence but a ‘Construction Induction Card (White Card)’ is issued by Worksafe Tasmania and there is currently no expiration.
