This course is ideal for anyone wanting to achieve a nationally recognised unit, and a globally recognised Microsoft Certification!

In this unique course, Prodigy Learning has partnered with TasTAFE to provide the Microsoft Office Specialist: Word Associate Certification alongside a nationally recognised unit. Earning this certification will support increased productivity and confidence with using Microsoft Word as a business tool and allow industry employers to recognise your digital working skill level through this globally recognised Microsoft Certification.

Ideally you are working in an office, administrative or management setting and want to increase your digital literacy so you can improve your productivity skills in the workplace.

In this course you’ll gain the skills, as well as tips and tricks to create and maintain documents such as professional-looking reports, multicolumn newsletters, resumés, and business correspondence. In essence, the course will cover preparing and producing a range of documents for today’s digital work environment.

This course is delivered fully online over 6 weeks concluding with a compulsory on-campus assessment. During the course you can access two drop-in one hour webinars each week - Monday’s from 10am to 11am and Thursday’s from 6pm – 7pm.

Participants must commit to undertake the Microsoft Certification assessment on campus at the end of the course. This will be an on campus, 60-minute practical skill assessment. Students must arrive 30 minutes early to login in and set up for the assessment start time.

On successful completion you will receive: A Statement of Attainment for the unit completed Microsoft Office Specialist: Word Associate Certification.

Gaining a digital badge from Microsoft will provide evidence of your skills and knowledge in basic digital productivity skills.
