Who needs Google when tourists can talk with a local Tourism guru!
A key skill in gaining employment in the Tourism industry is being able to identify a customer’s needs, confidently suggest products, services and experiences that meet their needs, and then sell the product or service.
This course is ideal if you enjoy assisting others and being the ‘go to person’ to answer enquiries, and are looking to enter the Tourism industry.
In this course you will learn how to effectively source and use current and emerging information on the Tourism and Travel industry, including industry structures, technology, and ethical issues.
You’ll also learn about the importance of being socially aware when serving customers and working with colleagues, and will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to communicate with people from a range of social and cultural groups with respect and sensitivity.
Throughout the course, you’ll also receive training on how to identify and assess hazards and control safety risks, to ensure the safety of your customers.
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units completed, and be equipped with the skills you need to seek work in a customer service role in the Tourism industry.
