This course is ideal if you are looking to gain work in a Visitor Services role across a range of tourism, travel, hospitality, entertainment and cultural locations, venues and businesses.
In this course, you will gain the skills and knowledge you need to access general information on facilities, products and services available in the local area, and gain tips and techniques on how to provide information to visitors.
You will also learn how to provide a quality visitor information service, and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. You’ll learn how to respond to visitor requests for information, establish rapport with customers, and determine and address customer needs and expectations, as well as respond to a variety of complaints.
Throughout this course, you’ll have the opportunity to undertake First Aid training so that you are equipped to provide a first aid response in a range of situations.
You’ll also receive training in the preparation and service of espresso coffee and general hygiene practices, as well as how to identify, assess and control hazards in your workplace.
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units completed.
