Get an introduction to the basic skills and knowledge you need to weld safely at work or at home.
This short course is offered over 18 weeks in the evenings and provides a basic introduction to welding.
In this course you will learn a range of basic welding skills including manual metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding and oxy acetylene welding as well as manual heating and cutting techniques. You’ll also learn how to apply principles of occupational health and safety in the work environment, focusing on the welding context.
On successful completion of this short course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units completed.
