Programs Skills for Work and Training

These programs are designed to give adults the skills and confidence they need to seek work or to engage in further training.  The programs are based around the following:

  • Study and learning skills
  • Jobs and training pathway planning
  • Operating effectively in a workplace – safety, teamwork, workplace communication

Programs can develop general skills or can focus on specific vocational areas.

FSK10213 Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways – Aboriginal Training Program Course
Purpose of the program:  To provide a pathway to work, further education, training and active community participation.

The program will include:

  • Communication and team work.
  • Computer and study skills.
  • Employment and further study opportunities.
  • Reading and writing skills for employment and/or further studies.
  • Work ready skills

Next Intake:  Ongoing enrolments
Method of Delivery:  In class and practical delivery to develop work ready, IT and communication skills
Cost:    Free
Eligibility for Tasmanian Government Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programs and services applies.

FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways
If you are considering enrolling at TasTAFE but feel you need additional skills, confidence and knowledge about study and work before commencing a vocational program, then this program is for you.

  • Next Intake:  23 July 2018 – ongoing enrolments
  • Duration:  4 days per week, Monday to Thursday

  • Devonport Campus:  Wednesday, 27 June 2018 – 10am,
    • Venue:  H Block, 20 Valley Road, Devonport
