This qualification will provide you with the skills and experience you need to hit your sweet spot and take your cookery career to the next level as a pastry chef.
In this course, you’ll learn a wide range of patisserie skills and gain a sound knowledge of kitchen operations to produce high quality – and delicious! – patisserie products.
Throughout this course, you will develop the essential skills needed for perfect patisserie – from creating gateaux, desserts, pastries and petits fours, to gaining competency in food safety and key cookery methods.
On successful completion of this course, you will have the skills and knowledge you need to begin your career as a Patissier or Pastry Chef, and a pathway to work in various organisations where patisserie products are prepared and served, including patisseries, restaurants, hotels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés and coffee shops.
Note– to be eligible for this course, you must already hold a qualification in SIT30816 – Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
