Short Course Open Cabling Registration (OCR)
An Open Cabling Registration (OCR) entitles the holder to work on telecommunications cabling on the customers premises.
On completion of the OCR course an application can be made for an Open Cabling Registration from an ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Association) approved registrar. This registration can be endorsed with the following short courses:
This course and 360 hours cabling experience will allow the holder to apply for their Open Cabling Registration. Endorsements are required by legislation to practice in any of the following fields – Structured Cabling, Optical Fibre or Coaxial.

- Day course – 11 days training – 8am to 4.30pm

Recognition of Prior Learning

2018: $1,669 including materials levy plus an additional of $267 if ICTWHS204 is required.

Relevant work experience in the industry and satisfactory skills in:
- hand and power tools,
- basic AC/DC theory
- electrical WH&S
