Consult effectively through your WHS committee to comply and contribute to a healthy and safe workplace.

This short course is about implementing effective health and safety committees.

In this course you will learn how to establish or improve your WHS committee to facilitate cooperation and consultation between management, workers and health and safety representatives, resolve WHS issues, and develop standards and rules and procedures.

It is suitable for managers, workers and health and safety representatives, or anyone interested in WHS.

You will learn how to better communicate, consult, participate and manage WHS risks and prevent physical and psychological harm.

It will put your knowledge and skills into practice through a range of hands-on group activities, role plays and scenarios.

This will enable you to improve your WHS management system, culture and performance.

Join our experienced teachers and improve your skills and experience in:

  • legal duties under the WHS Act
  • consultation and issue resolution
  • health and safety committee functions
  • timely response to hazards, risks and incidents
  • effective meetings including appointment process, decision making procedure, agendas and minutes.
