In this masterclass, we will take you through a brief history of cocktails, as well as the stories behind each drink. You will learn tips, tricks and techniques and take away an understanding of the balance of flavours, the importance of garnishes and the ice you are using.
Under the expert guidance of our guest mixologist, you will learn the art of making four popular cocktails:
- Old Fashioned
- Whisky Sour
- Dry Martini
- Aperol Spritz
You’ll enjoy sipping on the results of your efforts while grazing on a board of local meat, cheeses, fruit, and crackers!
About our guest mixologist
The guest mixologist for this masterclass is young local talent Locy from Geronimo in Launceston. Locy studied a Certificate III in Hospitality and has been mixing up cocktails with ‘Eurocentric flair’ using the best Tasmanian ingredients ever since. Geronimo specialises in modern European cuisine perfectly blended with years of experience and dedication to the art of cooking. They focus on share plates and beautifully balanced creative cocktail options.
This intimate cocktail-making masterclass is an informative and entertaining experience for those already working in the hospitality industry who are looking to ‘shake up’ their cocktail making skills and knowledge.
