This is a three-hour course that includes the following:

  1. Compliance requirements of the Building Act 2016
  2. Roofing plumbing requirements within the Plumbing Code of Australia (free copy of PCA provided) and link to the residential DTS solution within NCC Vol II
  3. Interpretation of the DTS solution from NCC Vol II
    1. Acceptable Construction Practice 3.5.3
  4. Determination of regional rainfall intensity
  5. Catchment areas per downpipe, size of downpipes and location
    1. Clarification of commonly misunderstood ‘12m rule’ and proximity of d/pipes to valley gutters
  6. Calculation of continuous overflow measures and dedicated overflow devices
On successful completion of this course you will earn 3 CPD points. Some participants may be eligible for Keystone (TBCITB) funding assistance. You must apply directly to Keystone prior to course commencement.
