Join our two-hour Diabetes Awareness online workshop to find out how you can better support people living with Diabetes.

This two-hour Diabetes Awareness online workshop is designed for students and support workers in the Aged Care, Disability or Community Services sectors.

The workshop is an ideal opportunity to build on your knowledge about Diabetes and gain a better understanding of potential complications and management strategies for dealing with this chronic condition.

You’ll learn about the different types of Diabetes, self-management strategies, medications, and hypoglycaemia management, as well as foot care, eye care, oral care and Diabetes Tas services and support.

During the workshop, a variety of guest speakers will provide you with useful hints and tips for supporting a person living with Diabetes. Presenters may include local Diabetes educators, Podiatrists, Optometrists, Dental educators and representatives from Diabetes Tas.

You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session after the guest speakers have presented.

On completion of this workshop, you will receive a Statement of Attendance.
