Achieve best practice in dairy milk harvesting and the detection and treatment of clinical mastitis in cows.
Controlling mastitis and achieving high quality milk significantly affects the profitability of all dairy farms.
The National Centre for Dairy Education Australia’s ‘Cups On Cups Off’ short course is designed for people who milk cows and covers the whole milking process with special emphasis on mastitis prevention and control.
Over this two-day short course, you will learn about the real cost of mastitis, including how to detect and deal with clinical cases of mastitis and how to perform practical mastitis control.
You’ll also learn how and why infections occur and how to reduce the risk of infection, as well as current best practice in milk harvesting techniques, including the importance of teat disinfection.
On completion of this short course, you will receive a Statement of Attendance, and the knowledge you need to effectively control and treat mastitis in the dairy farm context.
