Increase your chances of securing an apprenticeship in the engineering industry with this pre-apprenticeship qualification in Engineering Pathways.

This nationally recognised qualification is offered as a pre-vocational course, and is ideal if you are looking to gain an apprenticeship in an Engineering or related working environment.

Delivered over the course of 16 weeks, this full-time entry-level qualification will enable you to gain the skills and experience you need in a range of Engineering and Manufacturing activities that will enhance your prospects for an apprenticeship, traineeship or general employment in an Engineering-related workplace.

In this course, you will learn how to apply principles of work health and safety in the workplace, use power tools/hand held operations and participate in environmentally sustainable work practices. Our experienced teaching team will also guide you in the appropriate use of engineering workshop machines, electric welding machines, oxy-acetylene and soldering equipment, and fabrication equipment.

As part of this course, you will also have the opportunity to undertake supervised industry visits to local manufacturing enterprises.

On successful completion of this course, you will be qualified to seek employment in the booming Engineering industry. Once employed within the Engineering industry, you may be able to enter into an apprenticeship and continue your training by undertaking MEM30219 – Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or MEM30319 – Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade).
