Develop your computing skills and knowledge to improve your access to further education, training or employment.

This computing course is ideal if you already know a little bit about computing, but are now looking to expand your knowledge and skills – and the best bit… its fee free for eligible Tasmanian residents!

In this course, you will learn about a range of digital devices, as well as gain valuable skills in basic word processing. You’ll learn how to create and manage documents and spreadsheets, undertake simple formatting tasks, and create presentations in PowerPoint. You’ll also learn how to create and manage folders and files, and effectively use the internet and email for searching and communication.

This is a self-paced course. Upon enrolment, you will have a maximum of 180 days in which to complete all course content and assessment activities. Most often, students complete in less than 100 days.

You will be highly supported by your teacher who will provide regular contact and guidance throughout your studies.

On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Certificate I in Information, Digital Media and Technology.
