Short Course Hydrocarbon Refrigerant Training

TasTAFE is holding a nationally recognised Hydrocarbon Refrigerant  training course for HVAC and Refrigeration contractors to enable them to safely handle Hydrocarbons, service and repair of stationary refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

Refrigeration and air conditioning equipment using flammable refrigerants is increasingly being imported, manufactured and installed in Australia. These refrigerants are flammable and toxic or operate at extreme pressures, but are being used in place of synthetic refrigerants which have high Global Warming potential.

This course will cover

  • The safety and legal requirements to handle, use and store hydrocarbon refrigerants
  • Service and repair self contained hydrocarbon air conditioning and refrigeration system.

Pre-requisites

Participants will need a refrigeration trade qualification or Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

Outcome
