In the current COVID-19 environment, there’s no better time to update your existing skills and knowledge in infection control, meet industry standards and increase your employability in the Health Services industry.
This short course is designed for existing health and allied health workers, or students studying in these areas. It may also be suitable for people working in other industries where infection prevention and control is important.
In this course you will become familiar with infection prevention and control measures, such as Standard and Transmission Based Precautions. You will learn how to identify infection hazards and assess risks for yourself, others and the work environment. You’ll also gain the knowledge and skills needed to manage the risks and take appropriate action associated with specific hazards.
This course involves online learning and includes a face to face compulsory demonstration of practical skills. On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit completed.
