BSB51315 Diploma of Work Health and Safety

This qualification is suitable for people who coordinate and maintain the WHS program in an organisation.

This qualification prepares you to apply a substantial knowledge base and well-developed skills in a wide variety of contexts, and provide management and leadership to others, with responsibility for the output of others, to improve WHS outcomes of the workplace.

It is a sought after qualification for a WHS practitioner and positions as a WHS manager, supervisor, coordinator, officer, advisor, supervisor, manager/supervisor, regulator, HR officer, or as part of your job across all industry sectors.

You should enrol in Diploma of Work Health and Safety to gain specialised WHS knowledge to further your career as a WHS practitioner or incorporate into your current role.

Dates and Times

Participants can enrol at any time throughout the year. Upon enrolment an individual training plan will be negotiated.  Delivery is through face to face workshops, or online or distance over 12-24 months.

Individual: At your workplace or at workshops held at Campbell Street and Devonport.
Group Bookings:  Held at a time to suit you in your workplace

Assessment Process

You may be entitled to recognition for your previous study, work experience and existing skills. This means credit is given towards this qualification.

  • BSBWHS402   Assist with compliance with WHS laws
  • BSBWHS403   Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS consultation and participation processes
  • BSBWHS404   Contribute to WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
  • BSBWHS405   Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS management systems
  • BSBWHS406   Assist with responding to incidents
