BSB51915 Diploma of Leadership and Management reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.

They plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.

Assessment Process

Throughout all assessments, Occupational Health & Safety procedures must be followed. Options for assessment may include:

Resources and Equipment

  • Students will need to have access to a computer with broadband access to complete this qualification.
  • A memory stick or some kind of portable memory device is highly recommended.
  • TasTAFE has computer labs which are open for students to access during normal business hours
  • A learning resource fee may apply

Preferred pathways

The preferred pathways into this qualification include:

  • Completion of the Certificate IV in Business or Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or other relevant qualification, or
  • Evidence of competency in the majority of units required for the Certificate IV in Business or Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or other relevant qualification, or
  • Vocational experience assisting in a range of support roles without a formal business qualification

Qualification Requirements

This qualification consists of twelve units – 4 core units plus 8 elective units
