ICT40115 Certificate IV in Information Technology
ICT40115 – Certificate IV in Information Technology is part of the Information and Communications Technology Training Package. It provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of ICT fields at Certificate IV level. The qualification has a strong core ICT base sharing the same core competencies as several other ICT qualifications of the same level. Depending on the stream chosen, this qualification offers pathways into a number of ICT qualifications at Diploma level.
Small to Medium Enterprises will find the contents of this qualification useful at a technical specialist support level.
It has 5 specialist streams (both core and elective) which enable maximum choice and flexibility to suit enterprise needs. Selection of units from at least 3 of the specialist streams are required to complete this qualification. The streams are:
- IT Support
- Web Design and Development
- Digital Games
- Digital Media Technologies
- Project Management
ICT40115 Certificate IV in Information Technology provides computing and employment skills that enable participation in an information technology environment in any industry.
Graduates exiting this qualification will be likely to secure employment in an ICT ‘generalist’ role with useful skills and knowledge across several of the specialist streams.

ICT40115 Certificate IV in Information Technology.
Pre-requisite: ICT30115 – Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology or equivalent skills and appropriate evidence
To attain ICT40115 – Certificate IV in Information Technology, 20 units must be achieved – 5 core and 15 electives.
Electives: select 15 units from at least 3 of the following streams
- IT Support
- Web Design
- Project Management
