BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management progress the skills and knowledge needed to meet organisation demand for developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industries.

Students undertaking the Leadership and Management accept responsibility for your own performance, also provide leadership, guidance and support to individuals and others in the workplace.

You would also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of a team, typically you would report to a manager.

Recognition

At TasTAFE we believe that the things you already know how to do should be formally recognised. At enrolment, all students are entitled to have your current knowledge and skills assessed in order to determine the amount of training that you need.

Regardless of how, when or where the learning occurred, you may be eligible to apply for recognition of your skills and experience. When you apply to attend TasTAFE you can ask for recognition of:

  • schooling
  • formal/informal learning
  • life experience
  • employment/work experience.

You may also be able to apply for credit transfer for units/modules that you have completed previously at another training organisation.

Pre-requisites

While there are no pre-requisites, it is preferred that students have one of the following:

  1. BSB30215 Certificate III in Business or other relevant qualifications
  2. Vocational experience in business capacity.

Qualification Requirements

BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management consists of twelve units – 4 core units plus 8 elective units.

1 unit may be from any currently endorsed Training Package at Certificate IV level or above OR any accredited course at Certificate IV level.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
