BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team.

They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

Resources and Equipment

  • Students will need to have access to a computer with broadband access to complete this qualification.
  • A memory stick or some kind of portable memory device is highly recommended.
  • TasTAFE has computer labs which are open for students to access during normal business hours
  • A learning resource fee may apply

Preferred pathways

The preferred pathways into this qualification include:

  • Completion of BSB30115 Certificate III in Business or other relevant qualification, or
  • Evidence of competency in the majority of units required for BSB30115 Certificate III in Business or other relevant qualification, or
  • Vocational experience assisting in a range of support roles without a formal business qualification

Qualification Requirements

BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management consists of twelve units – 4 core plus 8 electives.

1 unit may be from any currently endorsed Training Package at Certificate IV level or above OR any accredited course at Certificate IV level.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
