HLT43012 Certificate IV In Dental Assisting

HLT43012 Certificate IV In Dental Assisting provides the knowledge and the skills necessary to provide an advanced level of chair-side assistance to the operator and contribute to the quality of dental care provided.

Participants will gain skills in communication; promoting good oral health; taking clinical dental photographs and intra oral radiographs; and implementing and monitoring infection control policy and procedures.

Workplace visits and workshops held at our campuses state-wide.
Tutorials for Dental Radiography are held in Hobart.

Pre-requisites

Successful completion of Certificate III in Dental Assisting (HLT31812).
Participants need to be currently employed as a dental assistant as assessment includes workplace observation and project work.

Qualification Requirements

To gain this qualification successful completion of 7 units (3 compulsory and 4 elective units) is required.

The elective pathway in this qualification is Dental Radiography Pathway
