SIT30216 Certificate III in Travel is designed for people wishing to gain employment in the Tasmanian retail travel or general tourism industry businesses as a travel or tourism consultant.

This course provides you with the skills to work in the front line of travel agencies, cruise companies, travel wholesalers and a range of tourism businesses. It gives you an opportunity to gain practical skills on a range of industry computerised reservation and information systems.

Work could be undertaken in an office, retail shop front or mobile environment.

Are there ‘Other Fees’ for this course?

Yes, the following may be required:

  • Galileo computer Reservation Access – approx. $200
  • AFTA Fares Module 1 & 3 ($150 per module) – approx. $300

Pre-requisites

Essential: Attendance at a pre-selection interview.

Desirable: Ability to demonstrate a general understanding and genuine interest in the Tasmanian Retail Travel or general Tasmanian tourism industry sectors.

Qualification Requirements

To gain this qualification you need to successfully complete 14 core units and 3 electives.
