This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of tasks when repairing and maintaining the body of cars, heavy vehicles and other vehicles in the automotive service and repair sector.

AUR32116 Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology prepares new employees for work in the industry and is also suitable to recognise and develop existing workers in the field of automotive body repair.

This course is for people who are currently employed in the automotive body repair industry.   To enrol in this course, you must be employed in the industry either under a contract of training (apprentice or school based apprentice) or as a non-apprentice and have access to a relevant workplace.

  • Rolling intakes:   You can start this course at any time
  • Duration:   Block Release 5 x 1 Week Blocks, Monday to Friday – 8am to 4:30pm
  • Apprentices will undertake a workplace signup and start of course induction session.   Non apprentices will complete a start of course induction session

Assessment Process

What will I need to bring?

Students will need to provide their own Personal Protective Equipment, which includes.

  • Safety glasses – required to meet Australian Standards AS1337 and have clear lenses
  • Safety Footwear (steel cap toe)
  • Combination overalls
  • Optional – Hearing protection (ear muffs/ear plugs)
  • Optional – Hand protection (gloves)
