AHC32016 Certificate III in Beekeeping is now available as an Apprenticeship in Tasmania.

Apprenticeships are employment based training arrangements where an apprentice has the opportunity to combine employment with training and are a great way to recruit staff and invest in the future success of your business.

Training allows you to skill your workforce, improve productivity and expand workforce capability.

Dates and Times

Training is flexible and is delivered on the job, through coaching by an experienced beekeeper supported by quality learning materials.

Duration

The nominal duration for a Certificate III in Beekeeping is 18 months, therefore the employer will need to guarantee up to this length of time in employment. However some participants may be able to demonstrate competency earlier and complete their apprenticeship in a shorter timeframe.

Learning Options

Training will be delivered on the job through coaching by an experience beekeeper and supported by learning guides and using the businesses’ policies and procedures as learning materials. Assessment will also be undertaken on the job using industry validated assessment tools.

Qualification Requirements

To achieve a Certificate III in Beekeeping 16 units must be successfully completed, consisting of 12 core units and 4 elective units.
