AHC20316 Certificate II in Production Horticulture – TasTAFE is offering a program for people interested in growing profitable food crops.

This course involves a combination of hands on and classroom theory sessions

Certificate II in Production Horticulture is for people who are currently employed in a rural workplace or have access to a rural property and is available to both Apprentices and Non-Apprentices. You could complete the full Certificate II in Production Horticulture within fifteen (15) months on the job. Depending on you and your employer’s needs, learning may be on-the-job, off-the-job or a combination of both.

Fees and Payments

Full Fee:  $1,086
Full Fee Concession:  $338
Subsidised Fee:  $905
Subsidised Concession:  $283

Because the Government provides generous levels of support to enable TasTAFE to offer much of its training on a subsidised basis, you may not have to pay the maximum fee. Your eligibility for a fee subsidy or a concession will be determined at the time of enrolment, and your overall tuition fee will depend on your individual circumstances.

Please note the majority of people who have not completed a Certificate III or above in the last five years are subsidised students

Refunds
Students are not eligible for a refund if they withdraw from the course after completing a unit or after undertaking more than 20% of the course.

Qualification Requirements

To achieve a Certificate II in Production Horticulture 15 units must be successfully completed, consisting of 1 core units and 14 elective units.

Electives will vary between regions.
