This course offers the practical skills you need to succeed in office administration.

Providing you with a strong foundation for many office and business roles, you’ll learn about payroll processes, accounts payable and receivable, maintaining financial records and digital document production. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your keyboard speed and accuracy.

You’ll also gain hands-on experience in writing simple documents, producing desktop published documents and spreadsheets, and learning how you can contribute effectively to the health and safety of yourself and others in a business work environment.

On successful completion of this course, you will have gained the skills you need to seek employment in a range of entry-level administrative roles within businesses across a wide range of industries. You may also be interested in undertaking further study at TasTAFE with BSB40215 – Certificate IV in Business or other Certificate IV-business related qualifications.

This course is also available as a Traineeship.
