Develop your high-level technical skills and knowledge in amenity horticulture and grow your career within this ever-expanding industry.

This qualification will equip you with the skills you need to manage a variety of amenity horticultural enterprises where a broad range of skills and knowledge is required.

This course is suitable if you are currently working in the Horticulture industry at a supervisory level and want to gain a qualification, you are already working within the industry and want to progress your career, or if you are looking to establish your own horticultural business.

In this course you will learn to collect and classify plants, diagnose plant health problems, and monitor and manage soils for production, as well as design irrigation, drainage and water treatment systems.

You’ll also learn how to prepare reports, produce computer-aided drawings and provide specialist advice to clients.

On successful completion of your Diploma, you will have gained the advanced technical skills you need to work at a senior and/or managerial level in the Horticulture industry in a wide range of amenity contexts including, but not limited to, botanic or public gardens, historic gardens and landscapes, sports facilities, urban or other public spaces.
