CPC60115 Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying

This qualification is part of the CPC Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package version 1.   This course is intended for people who wish to work at higher levels in the building surveying profession.   The qualification is the minimum required for national appointment as a Building Surveyor (Level 2).   The qualification also allows for membership to the national professional organisation, the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS).

The qualification could lead to employment as a Building Surveyor, either in local government or private enterprise throughout Australia.   The major client groups served is the building surveying profession (public and private).   The team provides nationally professionally accredited building surveying programs in Australia and has clients in every state.

The Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying qualification could lead to employment as a Building Surveyor (Level 2), either in local government or private enterprise throughout Australia.

Staff from the Built Environment and Engineering team, are available to advise you on study and assessment. All of our teaching staff have had extensive work experience within and in conjunction with building surveying. In addition to this, our staff also hold a variety of professional and technical qualifications relevant to building surveying.

Assessment Process

Assessments include:

  • Projects – individual, may be practical or research based.
  • Portfolio of evidence
  • Questioning, both written and verbal
  • Third Party Reports – you will provide evidence of doing tasks via completed products and projects and observations via audio/visual recordings.

To achieve an Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying, complete 17 units, 14 core and 3 electives.
