ATP Aboriginal Training Programs

Aboriginal Training Programs can now support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students across more qualifications than ever before.

If you are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander you may be eligible* for assistance with your TasTAFE tuition fees for Certificate levels I-IV and some short courses. Materials assistance may be available where courses have high material costs (conditions apply) and for Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses. Other Support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students is available.

You may also be eligible for ABSTUDY – a financial payment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from Centrelink.

FSK10213 Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways
Purpose of the program:  To provide a pathway to work, further education, training and active community participation.

The program will include:

  • Communication and team work.
  • Computer and study skills.
  • Employment and further study opportunities.
  • Reading and writing skills for employment and/or further studies.
  • Work ready skills

Dates and Times:  Ongoing enrolments
Method of Delivery:  In class and practical delivery to develop work ready, IT and communication skills
