Learn more about the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs sectors and gain the introductory skills you’ll need to work with people who are experiencing mental health and/or alcohol and other drugs challenges.
This short course is ideal if you already have some work or volunteer experience in the Community Services sector and are looking to gain ongoing employment in the Community Services sector.
This eight-week course will equip you with the skills and knowledge you’ll need to begin your career, and show you how to establish relationships with individuals that are experiencing mental health and/or drug and alcohol conditions.
In this course, you will learn a variety of skills applicable to the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs sectors, as well as how to assist people by referring them to services that will help them in their journey of recovery.
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units completed, which can be credited towards a Certificate IV in Community Services.
