If you have an interest in renovating your own home, managing a rental property, or are considering Interior Decoration as a career, you’ll begin to see things a whole lot differently with this colourful short course in interior decoration.

If you are interested in learning about the use of colour in design or creative industries, or simply have an interest in how colour enhances your home environment, this is just the course for you!

In this course, you’ll learn about the fundamentals of colour for interiors. You’ll focus on colour theory and gain an understanding the effects of light on interior colour, as well as increase your knowledge about the psychology of colours.

You’ll have the chance to test different colours and colour combinations, as well as investigate how colour can be used to communicate ideas and concepts, and identify the different materials, tools and equipment you’ll need to experiment with colour.

You’ll also research information on colour theory and design processes and evaluate information to determine how colour theory and design may be integrated into the design process, as well as consider intellectual property and other legislative requirements relevant to design processes.

This course is delivered online over a nine-week period through a mixture of online videos, webinars, written content and assessment tasks.

On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units completed.
