Get the qualification you need to work on licensed asbestos removal site, and learn how to safely remove and dispose of non-friable asbestos-containing materials.

This short course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to work for a license Asbestos Removalist, and competently isolate a site, safely remove and dispose of non-friable asbestos-containing materials.

This course contains a mix of both theoretical and practical activities, and adheres to the regulations and procedures for personal and site decontamination as described in the How to Safely Remove Asbestos, Code of Practice.

You’ll learn how to prepare for asbestos removal, and how to prepare asbestos removal areas and removal sites, as well as how to isolate the removal site. You’ll learn how to carry out the removal of non-friable asbestos and the decontamination process, as well as clean-up the work site and contribute to and use documentation in line with regulatory requirements.

On successful completion of this short course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units completed and a TasTAFE competency card. You will also be qualified to undertake the removal of non-friable asbestos for a licensed Asbestos Removalist.
